Interview with Jahnavi: The 13-Year-Old Author Behind Two Changes in Yin-Yang

At just 13 years old, Jahnavi has already stepped into the world of authorship with her debut book, Two Changes in Yin-Yang. Her writing explores themes of self-love, self-discovery, and positivity, inspired by her personal journey and the world around her. In this candid interview, Jahnavi shares her inspiration, challenges, and advice for aspiring young writers.

The Meaning of the Title and Symbolism of Yin-Yang

Interviewer: The title of your book is very meaningful. How did you come up with it?
Jahnavi: Yin-Yang is a spiritual symbol, also known as Taijitu. The dark side represents negativity and the light side represents positivity—it represents us as human beings. While writing, I got the idea for Two Changes in Yin-Yang: the dark side of people transforming into a pure side and believing in peace.

Challenges of Writing a Debut Book at 13

Interviewer: What was the most challenging part of writing and completing your debut book?
Jahnavi: I am only 13 years old, so I don’t have much experience of the world. That made it quite challenging to complete this book. But since it is my debut, I wanted to make it truly special.

Journey of Self-Love and Self-Discovery

Interviewer: How has your personal journey and experiences shaped the themes of self-love and self-discovery in your book?
Jahnavi: It has been a beautiful journey. I remember a time when I didn’t have self-love or self-discovery. Slowly, I realized my worth and began to embrace life fully. That experience shaped this book.

Overcoming Negativity and Staying Motivated

Interviewer: You’ve mentioned facing mixed reactions from people around you. How do you stay motivated in the face of negativity?
Jahnavi: I know my worth and values, so I stay motivated. In fact, I get inspired by people’s jealousy. If they are jealous of me, it means I am 100 times better than what they expected.

Writers and Role Models Who Inspire Jahnavi

Interviewer: Who are the writers or role models that inspire you the most, and why?
Jahnavi: My favorite author is Renuka Gavrani. Her book The Art of Being Alone touched my heart deeply. My biggest role model, however, is my mother. She faced many struggles at a young age, yet she never gave up. She believes in me, and when I am with her, I feel her dreamy presence. Today, she is an eye doctor, and I am so proud of her.

The Message Readers Will Take Away

Interviewer: What message do you hope readers will take away from Two Changes in Yin-Yang?
Jahnavi: Every word, every sentence, and the very essence of my book is meant to stay with my dearest readers.

Balancing School, Personal Life, and Writing

Interviewer: How do you balance school, personal life, and writing at such a young age?
Jahnavi: I set alarms and dedicate particular times to each of my responsibilities. My life stays balanced because of the guidance and support of my mother.

Advice for Young Aspiring Authors

Interviewer: What advice would you give to other young aspiring authors who want to publish their own work?
Jahnavi: Read books, gain experience, write consistently, build your future, and most importantly, build your confidence.

A Sneak Peek into Future Writing Plans

Interviewer: Do you already have plans for your next book, and if so, can you share a glimpse of what it might be about?
Jahnavi: Yes, I do have plans. But let’s keep it a secret for now. Big things shouldn’t be promoted before they are permanent.

Connecting with Jahnavi on Social Media

Interviewer: Are you on social media? How can readers follow you and get in touch?
Jahnavi: Yes! I have an Instagram account: @whimsicalaura_45678. Readers can follow me there and connect with me directly.

Closing Note

Jahnavi’s journey is proof that age is never a barrier to creativity, self-expression, and making an impact. Through Two Changes in Yin-Yang, she encourages readers to embrace positivity, self-love, and transformation. Her story is an inspiration for both young dreamers and seasoned readers alike.
