Congratulations on the release of your book “Pyaar: Intezaar Ke Saath”. Tell us something about your book?
Anurag Shukla: First of all, thank you. This book is about the different shades of love that are not often talked about. It explores themes like one-sided love, the wait for love, patience in love, and much more.
The title, “Pyaar: Intezaar Ke Saath,” suggests a theme of waiting in love. Can you elaborate on what this means and how it is reflected in your poems?
Anurag Shukla: It shows how waiting takes on different shades when it passes through the prism of love. You can see glimpses of this light in every poem, along with many other themes beyond waiting.
Could you share a few lines from one of your favorite poems in the book and tell us what it means to you?
Anurag Shukla: Every poem in this collection is my favorite in its own way, so it’s very difficult to pick just one. But if you insist, I would choose:
तुम्हें तो सिर्फ अपना बनाना था
हासिल करना तो कभी था ही नहीं,
परछाई बनाकर साथ रखना था
याद बनाना तुम्हें तो कभी था ही नहीं,
तुझे किसी और का होने से कैसे रोकू
तू मेरा तो कभी था ही नहीं !!
Poetry often involves capturing emotions in a few words. How did you balance simplicity and depth while writing your verses?
Anurag Shukla: Look, I’m not a very professional writer; I’m still a newbie. My writing style is quite simple—just feel the emotion and try to put it into words, then rewrite it (if it’s not up to the mark) until it becomes the final product.
Where can readers order copies of ‘Pyaar: Intezaar Ke Saath’?
Anurag Shukla: It is available on e-commerce sites like Amazon and Flipkart, as well as the Literatureslight store, and also as an e-book.
Are you on social media? How can our readers reach you?
Anurag Shukla: I have provided the details in the book on the “About the Author” page.
Do you have plans for your next book or any upcoming projects you’d like to share with your readers?
Anurag Shukla: Yes, I do have plans, but only God knows when it will happen. The only thing I can tell you is that it will be completely different from this one.
Thanks for your time! It was a pleasure talking to you about your book. I wish you best of luck for the future!
Anurag Shukla: Thank You.
