Most books are published within 20–30 days of manuscript submission, depending on the services selected. A dedicated publishing consultant is assigned to you from the start and guides you through editing, design, proofing, and going live.

You are in full control of your book's price. Literature's Light provides a minimum recommended MRP calculated from your printing cost so every sale stays financially viable. Above this floor price, you can set any MRP — a higher price means a higher royalty per copy.

You do — always. Literature's Light claims no rights or ownership over your creative work; all copyright and subsidiary rights remain entirely with the author. We can also assist with Government Copyright Registration if required.

Yes. You can schedule your book's release date in advance — for a launch event, a festive release, or a campaign — by informing your publishing consultant.

Yes. Literature's Light allows the plan fee to be paid across two or three instalments, on a schedule agreed during your initial consultation.

Not at all. Because Literature's Light operates entirely on POD, there's zero physical inventory involved. We provide unlimited, lifetime inventory management at no cost — no storage charges, no renewal fees.

Yes. Author copies are available at printing cost plus actual shipping charges, ordered directly through your Author Dashboard. There's no minimum order — order one copy or a hundred, as needed.

Royalties are calculated monthly based on confirmed sales and transferred directly to your registered bank account. Your Author Dashboard shows an itemised, channel-wise breakdown of units sold and cumulative royalties, updated each month.

For eBooks sold on Kindle, Google Books, Kobo, Apple iBooks and other platforms, your royalty is 100% of the amount received from the channel — Literature's Light passes on the entire amount and retains nothing.

Royalty varies by sales channel. Literature's Light Store: MRP − 15% of MRP − printing cost. Amazon, Flipkart & others: MRP − 45% distribution commission − printing cost. Literature's Light does not deduct any publisher's margin — all deductions are direct platform and printing costs, shown transparently in your dashboard.

The 45% distribution commission is charged by third-party platforms like Amazon and Flipkart, covering their listing, payment processing, customer service, and logistics costs. It's imposed by the selling platform, not by Literature's Light.

Yes. Literature's Light publishes in English, Hindi, and several regional Indian languages. If your manuscript is in a language not listed, get in touch with our team to confirm availability before submitting.

A publishing consultant reaches out via your provided contact details to guide you through each step. After registration and confirming your services, you'll sign a contract to begin, and we collect your inputs for manuscript formatting and cover design.

Amazon India and Amazon worldwide (USA, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy), Flipkart, Kindle, Google Play, Google Books, and the Literature's Light Store — giving your book truly global reach from day one.

Authors receive 100% royalty on each sale, calculated as MRP − distribution commission − production cost. The distribution commission for Indian online channels is 45% of MRP. Literature's Light does not retain any publisher's cut from your earnings.

Minimum Selling Price is the lowest viable price for your book, calculated from production cost and distribution commission. MRP is the price you set for readers — a higher MRP means a higher royalty per copy sold.
